Activity Description

Find one artifact from each of the following categories relating to the Goldfield mines. After finding the artifacts, write an expository essay about the boomtown years history of Goldfield mining.

  1. Two newspaper articles
  2. Four pictures
  3. Three maps (one must be panoramic and one must include mining claims)

      1. H1.[6-8].7: Explore the lure of the West and the reality of life on the frontier as it relates to communication, farming and water issues, mining, and ranching.
