Summary/DescriptionPhoto of an unidentified boy on shore with ducks swimming in the Las Vegas Creek. It is estimated the photograph was taken in the proximity of the Las Vegas Ranch where it was common for individuals and families to live in tents along side the creek. ; Water was the key to any and all development within the Las Vegas Valley. The Las Vegas Creek ran south from Big Springs, split between the McWilliams' original Las Vegas Townsite and Clark's Las Vegas Townsite and continued through through the Stewart Ranch property.
