| Summary/Description | The photograph is of a pipe band marching on north First Street toward Fremont Street within Clark's Las Vegas Townsite in 1905. The band got off the train, marched up the street to the Arizona Club for a drink, and marched back to the train. Also visible are the Angelus Hotel as well as Louis Paints. ; First Street attracted many of the first businesses to Clark's Las Vegas Townsite. The building on the right is an extension of the First State Bank building that housed Louis Paints, Nevada Transfers Express Co. and others. |
