| Summary/Description | J.T. McWilliams was a surveyor who created the first townsite in the Las Vegas Valley, known as McWilliams' Las Vegas Townsite, in 1904. McWilliams was born on Dec. 10, 1863, near Guelph, Ontario, Canada. McWilliams also donated a large tract of land on Mount Charleston for a public park and campground. Nellie McWilliams is J.T. McWilliams' daughter, born Oct. 11, 1898. |
