Jewish Repertory Theatre of Nevada
The Jewish Repertory Theatre of Nevada [JRTN] is one of the first professional theaters in the valley. Financed by two committed actresses’ personal investments, Norma Morrow and Charlene Sher, the theatre made great strides in the short amount of time since its 2010 inauguration.
Producing theatre of the highest standard, JRTN established a tradition of exploring powerful issues of humanity, by or about people of Jewish ancestry, but relatable by people of all backgrounds. JRTN is credited with giving a platform to speak and the elevation to see the diversities in life showcasing the people that parallel the authenticity in today’s society. The organization bridges the gap between Broadway/Off Broadway shows and the Las Vegas valley by starring veteran film, TV and theatre actors with student actors.
JRTN has hosted groundbreaking productions that resonates with many, most notably: Bad Jew, My Name is Asher Lev, and A Jew Grows in Brooklyn. Over the years, repeat performances of The Diary of Anne Frank has brought the Holocaust story to hundreds of Clark County School District students.View Related Items
