Abstract
Essie Lee Jones migrated to Las Vegas from Tallulah, Louisiana area. She was young and newly married, seeking a productive life and good employment opportunities in 1969. Over the next twenty-five years she held various positions at the Stardust, Frontier and Aladdin hotels�from maid to waitress to casino porter. She highlights these various jobs and describes some of her work experiences with co-workers and the Culinary Union.
