The south tower was well into it's construction at the time of the November 1980 fire; it's visible in many photos of the fire. There is no south tower construction in this photo. Therefore this is probably a 1973 photo showing MGM under construction, and the area in the lower right would be post-demolition of Bonanza Casino.
