What a great gem that reminds us of eras gone by. I was in Las Vegas last month and was staying at a cheap Vegas hotel and got to visit some of the museums that I haven't been to since I'm usually a Strip visitor. It makes you realize how far a shanty town can come in its evolution into the entertainment capital of the world.

This is the California Hotel on Main Street. It is gone. Building on the right is the Exchange Club which still stands.

There is a sign in front of one of the business. I've been able to read it in one of your other photos and it says, "BOSANKS & POPLIN BROKERS". The other photo is circa 1929 so that would be a good estimate on this photo. The business was likely involved in the Leadfield boom which pretty much an investment scam.
