M.J. MONNETTE, PRESIDENT THOS. H. CONDON, VICE-PREST. LINCOLN DAVIS, TREASURER A.A. BARRETT, SECY. R.J. SHOEMAKER, DIRECTOR J.R. HUBBARD, GEN'L. MGR. Baby Florence Mining Company P.O. Box 334 112 HALL ST. GOLDFIELD, NEVADA March 20, 1908 Dear Mother:- Your letter No.2 of the 15th received this afternoon, also Terassy's. Now I think she is a pretty bad speller for there were several simple words mis-spelled in her letter. I have been pretty busy and will make this one letter answer both. We have been having lots of excitenent here for the last two days. They have nade great preparations to receive the New York to Paris Auto racers and they have been expecting them here for two days. Yesterday morning juster after they left Ely they started across an aparently dry lake and got stuck in the mud. That delayed them one day and they were expected here by 10:30 this morning and it is now 4:00 P.M. and they are not here yet. I am sending you some papers that will tell you all about it. Am glad to know you are all feeling well. It sounds funny to me to hear of th thunder storms in March. It has been pretty warm here at times but it always gets pretty cool at nights even in the hottest part of summer. That was a bad strike for Reece. I am afriid all the time of the lightning doing some damage to your fellows. So Billee liked long red curls. Well the long curls might be alright but I don't like them red. It seems to me like my hair is out of the "red" class now and I know it is shut of the kinks. In fact my hair is almost shut of itself on top. How do you think you will like my bald pate? I hope Polk will be able to hold that well and get some
