( 5 )about developing much more water here. The next spring is 125 ft.further north, but on the same mound and the same distance west of the section line and furnishes a little stream about the same as the last mentioned. The last three springs mentioned are situated on the same 1/4 section as above mentioned, and flow down over the same quarter section. Besides these three springs there are some smaller ones on the same quarter and the whole surface about here shows more or less water oozing from the ground. The next and last spring lies in the next quarter section north ahout 300 ft. north of the last mentioned spring, or 100 ft. north of half section line and 75 ft. west of north and south section line. There is about one inch of water flowing from this spring and it looks as though more water could be easily developed. This spring is on the S.E. l/4 of the N.E. 1/4 of Section 30, and flows over and into the S.W. 1/4 of the N.W. 1/4 of Section 28. I would advise the purchase of these four 40 acre tracts ( which would embrace all the water) providing the price asked was reasonable. It may be that more ground would have to he purchased in order to get the water, on account of the owners wanting to dispose of all their holdings at once. I would not consider the land of any value except for the water. On the 25 acres of alfalfa and 10 acres of stubble lend fenced and on part of Sections 27 and 34, I find the fence stands out about 40 ft. on the N.W. 1/4 of the N.E. l/4 of Section 34, which is not owned by the Stewarts, but the fact of having possession for 8 or ten years, may give them title.I would deem it wise to get hold of the north half of the N.E. 1/4 of Section 34, and the south half of the south half of Section 26, also the south half of the S.W. half of Section 25, as all this land shows considerable moisture, and water can be developed on that part of Section 34 above mentioned. I find all the land in the quarter section lying next to and south of the ranch property in Sections 32, 33 and 34, to be smooth, flat land and good soil, if watered, and if it could be secured cheap, it might be wise te buy it. I find the ground in Section 27 north and west of what is now owned by the Stewarts
