Ross Clark Pres.Los Angeles CalifDear Sir!For nearly a week now we have been having a terrible time with drunken Indians. I think Saturday and Sunday every Indian and most of the squaws were drunk. Of course I do not know positively just where they get their liquor, but conclustions are very easily drawn, as Lattimer the man who has the Kyle ranch made his wine about two weeks ago, and I think that is the only liquor in the country. It is very inconvenient for us just now when so busy to have all the Indian labor knocked out! Besides the annoyance of drunken Indians around, I feared this [?] knowing Lattimers past reputation, and merely advise your confidentally in case you should consider releasing to him. Then I think if we have lost any cattle this summer it has five calves in that direction. Have tried to keep a careful lookout and thought we were getting away pretty well until I got a little
