Crowell and Allott to Clark, December 16, 1904
Full Text
A. Russell Crowell. W.P. Allott. Crowell & Allott, General Merchandise. We handle nothing but the best. Las Vegas, Nev., Dec. 16 1904 J. Ross Clark. Esq. Los Angeles, Calif. Dear Sir: As you doubtless know we have been in business here since June, waiting patiently for your Co. to open the townsite. The major part of the town is now at the Station, one mile from us. You have allowed Clark to put up a store near the track, on [company?] ground. Now, your Doctor Bracken is circulating a petition to move the P.O. from the Ranch to the townsite and will move the store also. This is hardly fair play, to put two other stores there and leave us with as big a stock as the other two put together- a mile away.
