SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES AND SALT LAKE RAILROAD CO. Las Vegas, Nev. Station 1 August 1904 Mr. J. Ross Clark, V.P. Los Angeles, Calif. Dear Sir, Ack. yours 18 July 04. Subject grapes. We have left about five for wine and I am occasionally selling it in bulk to Mexican and Italian employees at 75 cents/ gal, But we now have ten gallons here almost at our front door and that materially decreases the demand for it. I tried to get market for grapes in Utah but can only hendle theme there if nicely packed in baskets and cases. However from the way we are now overrun with the [?] am afraid we will have very few to market. Just now am selling some of the [?] varieties and growing [?]. What I can't get tid of will have to either [move?] or make wine of [?] Yours truly, J.K.W. Bracken
