J. Ross Clark letter to H. Hawgood, March 10, 1903

March 10,1903. Mr. H. Hawgood, Chief Engineer, Dear Sir:-Yours of the 9th received, file 209, which refers to the Stewart Ranch. In reply, beg to say that my brother closed up the deal a short time ago and we have sent Mr. McDermott down to take possession of it. I feel as you do, that it will make excellent head-quarters for our Engineering and Construction Department. Mr. McDermott will look after the farming and try and raise some hay, vegetables, fruit, etc. all of which will find a good market when we get to work there. There are also several hundred head of cattle which no doubt can be turned into beef. Very respectfully yours, (Signed) J. ROSS CLARK.
