J. Ross Clark letter to Walter J. K. Bracken, May 28, 1904

May 28th, 1904. Dr. J.K.W.Bracken, Las Vegas, Nevada. Dear Sir: Replying to your letter of May 23rd in regard to using up the surplus water on the ranch. I attach hereto a map showing land adjoining the Las Vegas ranch, both for which we have deeds and which is covered by options. It is our intention to take up the options early next month; in the meantime should you find it necessary to do so, you may run the water on to any of the land shown on the map with the exception of that owned by Col. Maxson. This matter is entirely confidential, as we do not care to have it generally known that we have acquired any additional land until the matter is finally disposed of.In regard to the date I will be at the ranch: I am sorry to advise you that I find it impossible to make the trip at this time, however, when I do decide to make the trip, I will advise you in plenty of time, in order that you may be there. Very truly yours, (Signed) J. ROSS CLARK. enc.
