\March 20,1918Pacific Audit & System Co.,936 Union Oil Building,Los Angeles, Calif.Gentlemen:The position of assayer here will he vacant about April 10th, and we would be glad to have you advise us if you have on your lists anybody whom you can recommend for the position.The salary paid is $125 per month. The work consist of the preparation and assaying, for gold and silver, of an average of about 15 mine samples and 5 mill samples daily, seven days per week. tJo other determinations are made except for gold and silver. Our assay office is equipped with the usual grinding machinery, and gasoline is used for fuel.This is an isolated mining camp, add accommodations are necessarily sore what crude. The climate, however, is very healthful, being very dry, with little snow and frost in winter, but hot in summertime. Room-rent, 50 c. per week (bedding should be brought); board, $1.20 per day; hospital fee, 1.50 per month; no other expenses. Small houses, for family use, are available in limited numbers.Take Santa Fe or Salt Lake route to Searchlight, Nevada; fare $12.70 plus war tax; stage thence to the mine, fare $3.50.Very truly yours,Techatticup Mine, bySupt.v. ->)
