Box 334 112 Hall St.Goldfield, NevadaFeby. 26, 1908Dear Mother:-Your No. 5 of Feby. 19th received last evening. Since writing you the other day I found that I had received your letter No.3 so I have not missed a letter. Guess we caught the tail end of your blizzard out here. Guess I told you a little something about it in my last letter. Last Friday evening about three inches of snow fell in less than 15 minutes. Sunday morning we had about 18 or 20 inches of snow on the ground but it is about all fone now. The sun shines very hot here when it does shine. It did not blow any during the storm and the snow was wet and heavy. I had went home friday evening and just a very little snow was falling when I started to get dinner. You may know I was a little surprised to see the heavy fall of snow when I stepped out a few minutes later and the sky was clear.Glad to know the kids are over the mumps. Is Terassy able to go on with her class. Expect Polly feel pretty lonesome to have to stay home.Huston might make money faster at his trade but I expect the money he would make on a farm would do him more good. Hope he gets work soon for if he is getting as tired of laying off as I am it must be pretty tough on him.Do you know what Grover intends to do. I hope that he gets friendly to all the folks because I know he would feel better and it would help you all. I think he will be alright to you some day. (over)
