About

The exhibit gallery is dedicated in the memory of Dr. Steven P. Shearing by his devoted friends, Renaldo M. Tiberti and Joseph A. Kennedy. Dr. Shearing was a pioneer, an inventor, and a generous contributor in the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Shearing’s most profound contribution to the field of ophthalmology was the invention of the Shearing lens and the procedure used to implant it, improving the vision of thousands of cataract patients.

With its inherent flexiblity and intuitive software design, the Dr. Steven P. Shearing Exhibit Gallery brings the UNLV University Libraries’ exhibits and collections to life, engaging users of all ages in the act of learning and discovery.
