Sands Hotel and Casino, Chinese cuisine menu

Don the Beachcomber dinner menu

By the 1960s, dining was certainly not limited to the strictly American cuisine found in buffets and coffee shops; other types of dining might include ethnic specialties such as the Japanese food found at the Ah So at Caesars Palace or the Polynesian cuisine of the Stardust’s Aku Aku and the Sahara’s Don the Beachcomber. Some of the best Chinese food in a hotel casino could be found at the Fremont Hotel downtown or in the Sands Hotel coffee shop. Seafood was impeccably presented at the Moby Dick in the Stardust, and Mexican food could be found at the El Patio at the International (later the Hilton), which was known for the variety of international cuisines it offered.
