Martin (Marty) Wilner

Martin (Marty) Wilner (1946 - ) was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Marty’s parents were Leo and Mickey Wilner, who made Las Vegas their home in 1963 when Leo became the Executive Director at Temple Beth Sholom, the only synagogue in town at the time.

Marty had recently earned his doctorate in psychology at the University of Houston. He chose to follow his parents to Las Vegas and accepted a position as a counselor at UNLV. He also opened his own private practice after he finished academic training to work with adolescents and families.

Marty met his future wife, Linda Wilner, a successful real estate agent, at a Jewish Singles club he helped establish.
