Activity Description

Introduce students to Morse Code and then use mine signals to teach auditory sequencing by having students clap-out the mine signals. Next, have students work with partners to create a code (e.g., A-B-B-A, a musical combination of notes, dance routine) they could use as a signal in a mine or other job situation. They will act out their codes using music or dance to other groups in the class.
