This special grant from the Endowment Foundation's B & J fund is for providing eyeglasses, dental prosthetics, hearing aids, to include medication and other similar items for patients who could not afford to purchase them on their cwn. It would be useful if at sane point you could sunmarize how the proceeds of this grant were distributed so that we could pass that information along to our benefactor. Thank you for your cooperation. June 24, 1988 Mr. Bill Feldman Jewish Family Services 1555 East Flamingo Road Las Vegas, Nevada 89119 1 Dear Bill: Thank you for agreeing to teach my Introduction to Judaism class on Sunday, July 10th from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. The class meets in the Temple library and is composed of around 40 students from varying backgrounds. Many of the students are couples contemplating marriage. Some of the members of the class are thinking about conversion, but many also just come to learn more about our religion. I thought you might want to hold a lecture/discussion with them on the nature of the Jewish family, what are some of the issues involved creating a family, etc. Again, Bill, thank you for substituting for me while I'm away on vacation. Sincerely, SDA:sg
