Commissioner Fountain moved the application of Pansy P. Barber for a second hand dealer's license at the Desert Trading Post, 115½ North 1st Street, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved the application of Joe Wheeler Potter for a second hand dealer's license at the Nevada Mutual Outlet, 226 North 5th Street, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of the Junior Muscular Dystorphy for a permit to solicit for funds be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved the addition of Sophia Mamlett to the Pawnshop license for Stoney's Jewelry, 128 South 1st with Jerry Fox, replacing Dr. Alexander Coblentz, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that Service and Material Warrants Nos. 7350 through 7555 in the total amount of $217,516.30 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved that Payroll Warrants Nos. 1350-1942 inclusive in net amount of $81,404.08 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the Minutes of July 18, 1956 be approved by reference and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign same. This being the time heretofore set for the opening of Bid No. 56.37 for the furnishing of fire alarm cable to the City, bids were received from the following firms: Alternate Bid OSBORNE ELECTRIC SUPPLY $77,600.00 $77,900.00 STANDARD WHOLESALE SUPPLY 78,732.75 UNITED STATES RUBBER CO. 77,600.00 Commissioner Bunker moved the foregoing bids be referred to the Fire Department for tabu­lation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time heretofore set for the opening of Bid No. 56.39 for the furnishing of reproduction paper and supplies for the City for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1957, bids were received from the following firms: MERCURY BLUEPRINT & SUPPLY CO. $1,307.57 Commissioner Whipple moved this be be referred to the Public Works Department for tabu­lation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Consideration was given to the application of the UPRR for rezoning of the NW¼ of the SW¼ of the SE¼ of Sec. 28-20-61 from R-3 to M-1 as amended by the Planning Commission to include the E 200" of the NW¼ of Section 33 and the S 710' of the 200' of the SW¼ of Sec. 28-20-61 from M-1 to R-4. Commissioner Whipple moved this matter be deferred until the next regular meeting of the Board on August 15, 1956. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
